Gingerbread Coming in Early 2011: Take a peek at this gigantic phone. It’s got a 4.5″ (or 4.3″?) WVGA sAMOLED2 screen and it’s going to run Android Gingerbread (which, at this point, I think we’ve all agreed is Android 2.3.) Engadget’s been tipped the following image containing what appears to perhaps be legit info on a new phone coming in at the beginning of next year from Samsung, right around February.
Gingerbread Coming in Early 2011: The screen, as I said up there with a question mark, is said in different parts of the leak image to either be 4.5″ or 4.3″ – either way, it’s tagged as sAMOLED2, which could mean SUPER AMOLED2 – this may imply that Sammy will be / has made some advanced moves over the screens that have appeared on Galaxy S models throughout 2010. It’s described as an “ultra sleek design” and really, look at that image, it doesn’t appear that it could get any sleeker. Additionally, looks like it will have a magically delicious 8 Megapixel camera, 16GB onboard storage, 1080p video capture, 14.4Mbps HSPA, a 1.2GHz core of some kind or another, and Bluetooth 3.0. Looks fabulous.
