Miley Cyrus and Joe McCreep endorsed Poquito wearable camcorder

Poquito wearable camcorder

Miley Cyrus and Joe McCreep endorsed Poquito wearable camcorder: Hard to say where exactly iRes Technology found this guy on the right (Miley clearly came from a nondescript party in the You Es Aye), but chances are he was sourced from same pool of megalomaniacs that MSI dipped into earlier this year. If you'll recall, iRes popped out its first wearable camcorder in July of last year, and the new edition is smaller, more capable and endorsed by voyeurs worldwide. The IRDC260 uCorder Pockito (2.5- x 1- x 0.5-inches) -- which is available in black / red colors -- is capable of being clipped onto just about anything; from there, it can log footage at 740 x 480 (30fps) onto a microSD card (2GB included). It syncs up with your PC via USB, and it can also double as a webcam should you need it to. Both hues are up for order right now at $99.99, and if you look even remotely like either of the individuals above, there's obviously nothing we can do or say to stop you from fulfilling your destiny.

Exciting new camera from Fujifilm

Photokina was a photographer’s paradise (or more probable a gear heads paradise). We got the change to try out many new and thrilling products there this year. Every major company was representing with their latest on display for everyone to get their hands on. The most attractive product to us was probably the Fujifilm X100

It house a 12mp APS-C sensor inside a micro 4/3rds sized body, and is style like a rangefinder, as you can see here. It has a fixed 23mm f/2 lens (35mm equivalent) and opening is controlled physically on the lens or on the camera. The hybrid’ viewfinder allows photographers to switch between an electronic and optical view, which actually it worked quite well. The camera is styled like a rangefinder, and feels tough. I’d love to own one of these, but a 50mm equivalent would be more to my liking. Either way, bringing APS-C image quality to a small compact body is ground breaking although only a prototype; it’s slated for release early next year.

Hitachi LifeStudio drives makes it easier to archive digital memories

While digital cameras in this day and age are extremely affordable (if you’re talking about a decent entry-level model) and have no recurring costs like purchasing and developing film, it comes at a price – you will need to have a proper backup system of all your photos if you were to dive knee deep into photography. Not only that, do remember the pain of migration from one platform to another over time since formats and media types tend to change as well, alongside the risk of the magnetic bits on your hard drive platter disintegrating in time, so make sure you always have at least two backups of a single photo wherever you are. Hitachi is proud to develop what they call an evolved hard drive, bringing the Hitachi LifeStudio Drives to the market as the first and only All-in-One external drive that makes it a whole lot easier to organize, protect and relive life’s most stunning moments.

Among the highlighted features would be Automatic Organization and Easy Sharing – now who wouldn’t want that? How does Automatic Organization work, you ask? Well first of all, the drive will automatically pull together and organize your photos, videos, music and documents from your computer, a compatible connected USB device or even over your range of social media outlets, making them a whole lot easier to access as and when you want them, not to mention making the dissemination process a whole lot easier as well. You can also easily upload, view and interact with photos on Facebook, Flickr and Picasa Web Albums without once leaving the application – that is how tight the integration is.

With 3D Navigation built-in, you can relive those beautiful moments on a 3D wall, making it easier to search for an individual photo instead of going through folder after nested folder due to a failing memory. Hitachi LifeStudio drives are also big on data protection, bringing the concept to the next level by offering both local and online cloud backup in a single integrated solution. Not only that, you only need to familiarize yourself with just one interface, so there is no need to go through the hassle of downloading and installing two separate programs any more. All online content will be stored in its natural format, so you can access your files from virtually anywhere in the world as long as there is an Internet connection. Prices start from $79.99 upwards.

Deluxe Audio Cassette

PXL 2000 Deluxe Audio Cassette Video System

"What makes this camera unique? In 1987, Fisher-Price manufactured a video camera capable of recording audio and video onto a standard Type II audio cassette. The image quality topped out at 160Khz (compared with 2.5Mhz for a normal signal), so the image comes out grainy and ghostly. A favorite these days for film students wanting an ethereal and artsy feel. Find yours on eBay."

10 Lumix DMC-GF1

10 Lumix DMC-GF1 The retro-looking Olympus E-P1 (featured in our recent Men’s Health Tech Guide) can’t claim to have started a retro revolution, but they’ve got other manufacturer’s attention. Now comes Lumix’s answer, the GF1. The Micro Four Thirds Live MOS sensor packs 12.1 megapixels with ISO 3200 sensitivity (great for low light shooting), and can shoot 720p video at 30fps. This is far from an amateur point-and-shoot, with the body, the 20mm/f1.7 "pancake" lens, together with the 14-45mm/f3.5-5.6 zoom costing nearly $900 in the US!www.panasonic.com Expected: Second quarter
